The terms, in plain language
These apply to every service. Your engagement agreement sets out the details for your trip.
Engagement
Before any planning begins, you receive a written engagement agreement setting out the service, the planning fee, the turnaround and what happens if plans change. Work starts once it's signed.
Planning fees
Planning fees are charged plus HST (13% in Ontario, 5% GST in Alberta). Some services keep a card on file and only charge the planning fee if the trip isn't booked through One Fine Voyage within an agreed window. Your agreement says which applies.
Perks at no extra cost
Hotel bookings are made at the hotel's own rate. Partner perks are included at no additional charge. Stays booked on loyalty points aren't eligible.
Payments and cancellations
Hotels, airlines, cruise lines and tour operators each set their own deposit, payment and cancellation terms. I share them in writing before you book.
Availability
Replies within one business day, and the same day while you're travelling. If something comes up after hours, 24/7 travel support is a phone call away.
Trip protection
I strongly recommend comprehensive trip protection for every trip. Suppliers rarely waive penalties for illness or a family emergency, and without cover the full booking value can be lost.
Privacy
Your proposals and itineraries live on private pages that search engines don't index. Passport and payment details are never posted there; cards are collected only through a secure payment processor.
Registration
One Fine Voyage is registered with the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO Reg. T1635247) and is an independent affiliate of Fora Travel.
